Pretty much self explanatory I think. Long or short, put your ideas out there, lets see who gets closest to the mark. Or, just have fun with it. Reylo, Dark Rey, or whatever else you want to go with.

I'm not sure if anyone's done a similar thread, hope it's not repeating but I couldn't find anything like it, surprisingly.

I'll throw mine out for shits and giggles.

I think Kylo will find himself compromised early on (possibly madness, KoR hunting him, haunted by Luke). He'll call on Rey and Rey will make a difficult decision to help him. She won't have support of the Resistance, so she'll have to go it on her own.

So Kylo and Rey will be fugitives, along with anyone who joins them. I think as a subplot we might get Finn with Rey, and that will eventually lead to a Finn/Poe show down. Rose could be on either side. I could see Chewie supporting Rey, and Lando as a Resistance commander tasked to bring her in. So then a Chewie/Lando conflict. The FO hunts them too, which of course leads to duels with the KoR.

I'm also going to throw a twist in there. The movie will end with a montage of the trilogy, showing that our perception of what's been going on has been viewed through tunnel vision of Rey. We'll get the full view at the end, and it will have a big reveal on Kylo, the Skywalkers and the conflict between the FO and Republic.

    Let me guess,

    Snoke is not really dead.

    Rey is secretly Luke’s kid.

Finn is Lando ’s son( if this happens, then f*ck this series)

Kylo Ren has a five built death stars surrounding Kashyyk.

Kylo Ren is redeemed and flies away with Chewie(this is mostly likely to happen) on the flacon.

Luke come back as a force ghost and conjures up lightning to fight Snoke’s

When Rey is a Skywalker, there will be outrage by TLj defenders saying “how dare you change RJ’s profound take!” on twitter.

“Rey being a skywalker ruins the notion that anyone can be a Jedi! Even though there are thousand years worth of Jedi. Now she comes from a royal bloodline, even though Anakin was the fallen one, who is basically the spawn of Satan"

After all the outrage on twitter, here’s what we'll get:

is this what we're all doing now? destroying someone's new thread with sarcasm because you didn't like a movie?
add to the discussion or leave the thread alone.. that's beyond rude.

i hope a mod cleans this up for you @Sparafucile as it's a good idea for a thread, and i liked your idea.

I hope IX has a significant time jump, something about 2-3 years. The FO reigns a huge part of the galaxy, but the crazy thing is: the galaxy actually likes Supreme Leader Ren while the Resistance and its leader Poe Dameron is despised. So, the Resistance has a big task to fulfill. First they have to prove the FO is evil and bad for the galaxy. Secondly they have to plan how to defeat them.

So this is my rough plot which focuses on the characters:

    KYLO REN

Kylo Ren is pretty much into the dark side (at least for the whole first act). The FO may be popular and successful through out the galaxy, but it's not because of Kylo's doing. He only cares about finding Rey. Hux doesn't like that and wants to overthrow the Supreme Leader. But he can't do it alone, he either needs the help of the entire FO or the help of the Knights Of Ren. But the KOR are quite loyal to Kylo Ren, so Hux has to incite them to betray Kylo. Maybe Hux tells them that Kylo doesn't care about Vader's legacy anymore or something like that.

So, the relationship between Kylo and Hux should play a siginficant role to the plot. Kylo is also haunted by Snoke and/or Luke. Luke could troll him from time to time. Anakin's force ghost should also have an appearence.

    POE/FINN:

Poe and Finn are on a mission to gain supporters for the Resistance and to reveal the real goals of the FO. They meet up with Lando, Maz and new characters. This plot should have an adventure like feeling to it. Like Indiana Jones.

EDIT: I still hope the Stormtrooper Revolution led by Finn is still a thing.

    REY:
Rey is on a mission all by herself. She's looking for force sensitive beings and Jedi stuff. Maybe she's also looking for parts to fix the Skywalker saber, because right now it's quite badly fixed. Her plot is intertwined with Kylo's one (maybe force skype). But she's also in contact with Poe and Finn. Luke will also appear to her to guide her.

Kylo Ren should be successfully betrayed by the end of the second act. He doesn't know where to go, so he seeks out Rey who helps him. But he isn't redeemed yet and they will still fight in the third act. My dream scenario would be if they fight on Mustafar and Kylo beats Rey. But before he strikes her down he sees the Skywalker lightsaber and something (maybe a flashback or a vision) is triggered and he becomes Ben Solo again (it's easily put, I know).

Now Ben Solo will help the Resistance to defeat the FO and Supreme Leader Hux in one final battle.

I like that one, but I would still like Ben be fully redeemed at the end. Add the subplot of Finn starting a mtiny inside the stormtroopers with a lot of them following Finn into a battle against the FO. At the end when Rose, Poe, Finn and Rey reunite let Ben silently sneak away.
End the movie with showing Ben at Lukes former Jedi Temple and build it up again (may be help of a broom boy could be helpful to clean all the mess he left) with Luke watching from far, showing that he's back to the light.

    @Plagueis 1138 and @Maximus

I get the humor, maybe because of my dislike of TLJ, while at the same time, I also get that feeling of frustration. For me, the best part of TLJ has been the aftermath, and the crash course we've all been forced to take in diplomacy lol.

@Plagueis , I have no problem with someone coming up with a funny plot based on some of those ideas you put down. However, just mentioning them in loose context like you did, I can see how those who love TLJ just tire of the repetition. Personally, I would have appreciated your input more had you put some more thought into it, like devising a plot that contains all or some of those ideas. So yeah, I don't see you as trying to derail my thread, but at the same time I can see how it could have that effect, since for those of us who dislike TLJ, it's much more difficult to think of IX in a positive light or optimism. I guess to put it in terms we haters understand, I see your attempt at humor here being somewhat RJ-esque. I get what you're going for, but it lacked some originality in its execution. You are of course free to post whatever you like, but I beseech you to please try and consider your audience and its effects.

@Maximus, I get your annoyance with these sort of comments, but as a hater, I can honestly say I get them a lot from lovers. Whenever I see comments praising TLJ, I can't help but roll my eyes lol. That said, I bite my tongue. It's that person's opinion, and they are free to it. I used to feel an overwhelming need to challenge them, but I've to realize that sometimes it's simply best to let it slide. You can't defeat negativity with negativity. More to the point, you can't avoid the hook if you keep biting the fisherman's bait. Humor doesn't always land, and it's far more forgivable in a thread that we just write on whim. I find the best answer to a perceived attempt to derail a thread is to give credence to their thought, or ignore it outright. By challenging it, you validate it, and oddly enough, it sort of contributes to the derailment. Quite possibly, it wasn't even Plagueis's intent, I tend to prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt in these things.

So here I go and I'll try and spin this using some elements Plagueis gave me.

Kylo is haunted by both Snoke and Luke. Openning scene is an escape pod ejected from a SD. We see it propel it's way down to a planet. Cut to Rey, Finn, Poe and rose, who happen by a holo news feed of a nearby habited planet, where there's a mad man using Force powers on the populace of a city. Rey's comm rings, and Leia's voice is heard asking her to go deal with the situation.

When Rey finally reaches Kylo, she feels the conflict within him. She doesn't sense a single presence, but rather 3. Force lightning blasts from his body at nearby buildings, as the populace has evacuated the vicinity. Rey approaches, and Kylo gains some control as he recognizes her. Through her comm, Rey hears Poe telling her to back off, he has a flight of bombers ready to finish him off. Rey tells him to back off. Finn is worried, Rose is worried for what Finn might do.

As Rey nears, lightning erupts from Kylo, reaching toward Rey, and quickly with a snap hiss, her lightsaber ignites and absorbs the blast. Kylo, visibly struggling with an unseen force, moves the lightning away, and Rey closes in. With agony, Kylo cries out "I cannot control my mind!", he looks at her and their eyes lock. Suddenly, Rey realizes what she must do. With acrobatics, she closes in, lightning missing by inches, until she reaches Kylo and sweeps his feet, using the force to push him down, slamming his head to the solid ground.

Rey, using the same technique Kylo used on her, enters his mind, hoping to keep him unconscious. She gasps and whispers "Luke...?" and then recoils at the presence of Snoke, a look of horror on her face. Her face firms and she establishes a tenuous block on the conflicting spirits within Kylo Ben. Kylo's eyes flutter open, and he says, Yavin, Vader's Altar and he slumps into unconsciousness.

The next scene is Rey relating her feelings and sense of Kylo's mind to the head of the REsistance. She asks to be given Kylo, to save him from his agony, an act of mercy. Lando, an admiral now, resists the idea, Leia looks on quietly, torn for Rey's safety and that of her son. Poe also opposes the idea and both Lando and Poe end the conversation. Rey, marching down a hallway furious, is joined by Finn and Rose. Finn has obvious misgivings, but supports his friend. Rose looks at Finn curiously, weighing his motivations. Rey stops, and tells them she can't keep him under forever, but she knows where he can get help.

Taking chewie as pilot, the four, along with droids, start the journey to disputed space, to Yavin. When she delved into Kylo's mind, she saw that Kylo knew where he could possibly get help. Upon the 1st DS, Vader had a chapel to the darkside. Inscribed upon that altar were ancient rituals that with spirits of former force users. End act 1.

    ***
Far from perfect, but at least I'm trying to make some lemonade from the lemons he gave me :)

@Maximus I apologize if I made you mad, I was being goofy and having fun. I don’t judge those or wish any ill on people who love TLJ. I myself don’t actually hate it, I just find it muddling and frustrating but that’s just me.

With that being said, I don’t think it’s the end of Snoke and I would not be surprised if Rey was Luke’s daughter the whole time.

There is really no where to go if Kylo Ren is just the main villain after all this. Think about it, after ROTJ, Han and Leia had a child who was spoiled and evil. He became a dictator, then died. The End. That’s just depressing and makes the first three films rather pointless.

The way it will work with ReySky is that there will be a flashback of Luke coming out of the hut in the rain shouting Rey after talking to Leia. Perhaps it will be revealed that to Luke that Rey is his kid.

I also think we will see the Whills or Snoke, who was the one that manipulated Luke beyond his control to think of killing Ben in the flashback.

In TLJ, we curiously see the seal of a mysterious Jedi when Luke reaches out to Leia on the island the first time. Who is this mysterious Jedi? Snoke? There’s got to be more to it. Otherwise TLJ is a pointless exercise. We will learn the origins of the Jedi.

If the movie just ends with Ben Solo just being redeemed, then it’ll just be a big shrug. They have to tie in all 9 movies into one cohesive story.

Slightly off topic but 9 will be the most predictable SW fim ever.

    Hux dies 100% sure.
    Rey lives 100% sure.

Kylo dies 100% with a redemption chance of 80%.

FO defeated 100% but not destroyed. This sets them up as big baddies 4 future spin offs.

    Finn lives 100% sure.
    Poe lives 95% sure.

Snoke in flashbacks only. 60% sure.

The only big mystery 2 me is what 2 do with Leia.

your making this about TLJ.. we need to rise above this.
If a new member signs up tomorrow, jumps into this section and sees your thread.. seeing first replies like that is a really really bad thing. We all go off topic and down all sorts of rabbit holes in threads.. but whining immature replies like the first one here sets an ugly precedent.
it’s not about TLJ, it’s forum basics
    no, I apologise bro.
I wasn’t happy about the post before your one, and I was too mad to see the humour in your post. what I did was not cool.

It always goes back to TLJ as it did in your post "because of a movie", unless I wrongly assumed the movie you were referring to was TLJ. And yes, both posts after mine were referring to TLJ as well, the first one somewhat more vaguely (we know the poster from previous posts, so we jump to an assumption based on his history, but taken without that history it's much less on the nose that it's a jab at TLJ... again, I choose to give benefit of the doubt) and the second carrying some ideas bandied about at times from mostly the "hate" thread.

I didn't take offense to the first reply. Some people like having their expectations subverted, others don't. Therefor some people can like my idea based on that or not. So for me, @Bandini 's comment was fair game. People can like or dislike my idea of a movie on their own terms, it's not my place to dictate that to them.

I would have had more of an issue with Plaguis's response had I not picked up on his attempt at humor. It's easy for that to get lost in translation in text, and humor of itself is subjective.

Now I get you @Maximus . I would have far preferred I get a few people come out with their own plots before those 2 comments, I think it could have helped get the thread rolling. That said, this thread exists and I figure as we get closer and more stuff leaks out and teasers and such, this thread may get more attention the closer we get to IX. By extension, our continued conversation here continues to derail the thread lol. But I'm a patient man, and I don't get super excited or any thrill from seeing a thread I make get a lot of attention. I just like reading about people's ideas, so posting something gets to lead the conversation to things I'm interested in within the SW universe. If no one else is interested in my trail of thought at the moment, maybe the timing just isn't right yet.

Edit: As for not making this about TLJ, that's pretty much impossible, since this is the sequel to TLJ. When I post something or start a thread, I try very hard to avoid mention of TLJ as much as possible so to remain positive. I don't just want replies to "lovers" but those of all fans. Also, I think it's healthy for people to start to try and imagine SW in a positive way (for haters... again). So this thread being about IX, TLJ is the starting off point by default. I feel ya Max, but to some extent, this is going to be a reality until the ST is completed. My best solution so far to stay in any way, shape or form optimistic about IX is to avoid thinking much about TLJ, but I can't ignore it due to it being the film directly preceding IX. So for haters, the ST will be a struggle until it's done. Hopefully IX can reconcile fans at least to some extent.

    Act 1:

It has been 5 years. The galaxy is prosperous and doing well under Ben's rule and has gotten rid of "The First Order" name. Everything is as it should be, or so it seems to the galaxy at large. There is peace. In the mean time, Ben has shed his Kylo Ren persona and has publicly and openly embraced his past as Darth Vader's grandson. Ben has been trying to find information on who Anakin Skywalker really was in the jedi temple on Coruscant to no avail due to Palpatine's efforts to hide the truth. On his way to Luke's old temple, which he destroyed, he is unknowingly tracked there by The KOR. They are not called The KOR anymore, but still wear the same armor and weapons. They heard about Luke's sacrifice and are out to avenge him against Ben. Dominic's character was the second-in-command to the KOR and tries to talk him down similar to Obi-Wan vs. Anakin and they duel while the rest of the KOR watch on at Luke's old temple. Ben overpowers him easily due to his size and they agree to a truce. The KOR want to show Ben the truth about the force and his heritage.

    Meanwhile...

General Hux is hiding on a backwater planet called Baatu, a legendary planet beyond the outer rim. He has been stripped of his rank by Ben right after TLJ and was marooned on the planet with nothing to his name. This planet also happens to be ridden with citizens who call themselves Rebels, where cells have popped up since the story of Luke Skywalker's sacrifice spread. Hux has been laying low doing anything to survive, especially if that means taking down his main rival. He keeps hearing how his father never had any sort of faith in him and he feels that it is time to move on.

The newly-reformed Rebel Alliance operates on Kashyyk, using former military bases from The Clone Wars era and utilizing Clone Trooper armor that was left behind during The Battle of Kashyyk. Chewbacca is reunited with his family and Leia is recovering peacefully. Poe is still very hot headed over the fact that there is nothing to fight for and believes that General Hux is the key to finding Leia's son and killing him. CUT TO: Rey is training in the forests of Kashyyk, who's trees have a high resistance to the plasma blades and the blaster bolts of the blasters everyone uses. It is at this time that the rebels start getting classified information about the first order that the galaxy doesnt see. Being the politician that she is, Leia suggests using this information to put a new regime in power. Leia sends Rey, Finn, Poe, and Rose to Baatu, where they tracked the signal to find this mysterious leaker. On their way to Baatu, all of them cannot stop arguing, especially Poe and Rey. When they enter baatu, the MF is damaged and cannot land because of some bounty hunters, who see a secret order by the FO to track down the falcon. Poe and Finn take an escape pod to the surface. Rey and Rose task themselves to go to Mandalore, which has not seen much success in decades.

Rey and Rose reach Mandalore and have their ship repaired. They explore Mandalore together and find that there is no leader. It is here that the mandalorians come to respect her literally because she has a lightsaber and they have not seen one since the jedi order. Bo Katan's son tries to give her the dark saber, but is stopped by the lawless bounty hunters that are secretly running the planet under Crimson Dawn, not realizing that Maul has been dead for decades. They decide to duel to the death and Rey's green lightsaber is cut in half again. She uses the force to capture the darksaber and the mandalorians bow down to her, including Bo Katan's son. He offers her the throne and asks her to lead the take over of the republic but she refuses, not believing in the galaxy's citizens serving a higher master, as that is what she grew up with. it is here that we learn Rey's true history. As Bo's son takes her through the palace to convince her, he explains that Obi-Wan and Satine wanted to have a family but his duty forbade him so they used Kamino's cloning technology to have a daughter. To protect her, they froze her in carbonite until the day came that they would be free from The Empire. After both of her parents were killed, Bo Katan and the mandalorians swore allegiance to her and dropped her off on Jaaku as far away as possible out of fear for her life in hopes that she would return to wield the dark saber. Rey picks up the dark saber but finds out that in order for Leia's plan to work, she has to follow the planet's customs and lead the bounty hunters.

    Act 2:

Ben is incessantly trying to contact Rey through the force but something is blocking him, and the force feels very familial to him. However, he cannot pinpoint what it is and feels that he is losing his grasp on the force. He calls his home the old jedi temple on coruscant with the old KOR. His best friend, Dominic, has no idea he is the new supreme leader since the KOR have been outside of the galaxy. Ben is lost but feels found with his old friends. During his most recent meditation session (same room where Yoda and Anakin talked in ROTS about loss), Ben finds Luke Skywalker through the force. They do a joint meditation and enter into the world between worlds, mentally speaking. They have a heart to heat conversation and Luke reveals that he has gained the true powers of the force that not even Darth Plaeguis could unlock and has cheated death and can walk between worlds. He tells Ben that he needs to drop his insane quest and bring the universe to peace. Ben then wakes up in his bed as if he has just experienced a nightmare and decides to ignore it, similar to anakin in ROTS. He feels that he needs to find Rey immediately and solidify himself as the top of the pack in the universe. With red and yellow eyes and a crazy look, he flies off into hyperspace to find Rey using nothing but her force signature.

    Meanwhile...

Poe and Finn have been travelling on alien animals for weeks to no avail and drinking water from plants and look almost emaciated. They are on the outskirts of the town thay Rey dropped them off to and encounter a blonde man who looks like a young, late 20s/early 30s lumberjack with long hair. The three of them do not trust each other at first since Baatu is more lawless than Jakku and Tattooine, where your best friend would kill you to survive. This mysterious man allows them to contact the rebels but Rey and Rose are the closest signal they can each with a boost (harkening back to AOTC). This man over hears the conversation and contacts someone.

Leia is feeling more and more faint as her physical self deteriorates due damage in TLJ. Luke comes to visit her and she thinks she is hallucinating. Luke explains to her that it is time for her to move on and that she will always have a role in this universe no matter what. Luke lives in his physical form as Leia fades away into the force. Since Leia was not fully trained int he ways of the force, Luke silently transfers his force powers into Leia so she can officially become "one with the force ." As Leia fades, she says, "There is another...I believe in him, Luke.." Luke is now a mere mortal again with no force powers so he has to find any maps. Threepio and Artoo mourn her loss and offer Luke help and help to pilot him to Baatu since they are the only ones that were entrusted with Poe, Finn, Rey, and Rose's mission. Luke decides to avenge his twin sister and find the truth.

Back on Mandalore, Rey is stranded on the planet because they do not want her to leave. She gets a message from Poe and Finn that they need her and Rose's help immediately and to contact the rest of the rebels on Kassyyk. Rey tries to leave but the Mandalorians will not let them leave at all. Rose tries to fight but sacrifices herself to save Rey when all heck breaks loose during the firefight. Rey uses the force to push a few bounty hunters off of a cliff, gets back into the falcon and heads for Baatu.

    Act 3:

Ben is informed by Mas Ammeda that they have to act fast, based on his sources that the rebel alliance is moving for one, final battle across the galaxy. The KOR, including Ben's old friend, are all with him and are trying to turn him back. He gets angry and they have an epic battle where he kills all of the KOR and spares his friend's life. However, his friend, feeling ashamed, blames himself for Ben's "Kylo" persona and kills himself with his own weapon rather than continue to see what Ben has become. This destroys Ben and convinces him to finally go back to the light.

Rey is back on Kashyyk rallying the troops only to find that Leia has suddenly passed and that Luke Skywalker is still alive. Luke keeps his secret of not having the force anymore to himself, in the fact that his midichlorians now lay dormant. Without the force in his system, Luke is dying again and wil not be able to come back. He is basically leading a suicide mission to Corsuscant to save his only remaining family member and his mentor's daughter. Rey, with her newfound sense of pride in her own family. leads the mission to Baatu. She is Red One. Luke is Red Five (Standing by). They fly in new-gen X-Wings, stolen from the Ben's new republic, to the planet with Chewie flying support. They hit lightspeed and are on their way.

Back on Baatu, Poe and Finn are stranded in the cabin of this mysterious stranger. While he rests, Poe is messing around with a ranom astromech droid and, while cleaning it, finds a message from the FO from 5 years earlier. The stranger puts a gun to his and Finn's heads and reveals himself to be Hux, who has been the mole working directly with Leia. He refused to reveal himself because he did not know who to trust after being exiled.

Rey's team is abushed in hyperspace by some people that Ben has sent to track them. They are destroyed in the Annoat system, where Luke contacts an old friend for help. Lando rescues the two of them to Bespin, which is now an outer rim territory that handles people in need that are veterans from the galactic civil war on both sides. Lando convinces some of them to volunteer to fight for the good cause and they take new ships to Baatu.

On Baatu, Poe and Finn are in shock at Hux's sudden change in his personality. They go on a mission of their own to secretly contact Rey in town. Baatu is even more lawless than Jakku and Tattooine, so they blend right in, even with Hux's obvious disguise. They are caught by Ben's people and are escorted to his personal ship on the planet by bounty hunters, who happen to be mandalorians. It is at this time that Rey and Luke arrive to the planet with a ragtag fighting team of troops wearing armor from multiple generations form clones to first order troopers. Chewie is wearing armor plating and leads the ground assault, and Rey/Luke lead the aerial battle. Finn, Poe, and Hux run into chewie while trying to escape the planet and he tries to rip off Hux's arms. Chewie does not buy into Hux's change in his personality. They contact Ben and and Ben agrees to a truce if he can have Hux. Ben is too far gone even after committing to the light.

Rey lands her fighter on Baatue to find Finn. She immediately runs into Ben, who has staged all of this just to get at her. They engage in a lightsaber duel while a re-captured Hux, Finn and Poe, watch on. Luke talks to Obi-Wan while in his own dog fight and decides to help Rey but his ship is badly damaged. He crash lands on the planet, severely injured. He makes his way to the fight and uses the last of his energy to save Rey, who is about to be struck down. In Luke's last moments, he flashes back to the cave on Dagobah with Yoda during the OT and Ben somehow sees this memory. By this time, Luke finally succumbs to his injuries and passes out. Hux escapes in the commotion and but sees Rey getting up for a last stand.

Back in space, the rebels have one and decide to descend to the surface. By this point no one is left in the fight. Ben decides to stop fighting and once again tries to turn Rey. However, Rey refuses saying that he is the last of the skywalkers and they should be building an alliance for the sake of the galaxy. Ben, being selfish, tries to rush Rey with his saber, but Rey uses the same dark saber from Mandalor and strikes him. She holds him in her arms and apologizes and the both with that things would have turned differently. Ben refuses treatment and prefers to die to make up for his sins.

The last shots are of a montage before the credits: Rey and Poe burning the last of The Skywalkers...Rey searching the galaxy for force sensitive individuals...Poe going back home to the fs tree and showing signs that he might be a force user...Finn working as Poe's teammate...and finally Hux reforming the government in secret in sector 1313 on Coruscant, bring the aspect of the PT back in full circle.

Kylo Ren rules the galaxy with an iron fist but all fighting has ceased. The KOR of arrive at the FO capitol with Lando as prisoner. The KOR have been traveling the galaxy recruiting and training new KOR. Unlike Sith, KOR have no rule of two.

Meanwhile Rey has been recruiting new Jedi throughout the galaxy and telling them to pass on their knowledge to others. One of Rey’s Jedi betrays her to Kylo.

Kylo tries to negotiate with Rey but they end up fighting and Kylo beats her. Luke appears to stop Kylo from killing her. Rey is left to die but is captured by bounty hunters. Rey has a bounty on her head for allegedly killing Snoke. She calls to Finn through the force for help. Poe, Finn, and Chewie go on a rescue mission to save her.

Meanwhile the KOR rebel against Kylo for trying to negotiate. Amidst the Chaos, Lando ecscapes and rescues an unconscious Kylo Ren. During Kylo’s coma, he has a vision of Anakin who shows him all the terrible things he’s done.
Kylo is tortured with guilt. Leia comforts him as he thrashes about. Kylo wakes up a changed man.

Rey, Finn, and Poe return to the rebel base where a city of refugees is being protected. The FO attacks. There is a giant space battle near the planet and giant land battle outside the city. An army of KOR fight an army of Jedi. Kylo fights along side Rey with the Skywalker lightsaber welded back together. Rey fights with Luke’s green saber.

The good guys win. The End.

I'm not sold on this, he's either going to become more powerful and cranky and be back in the next trilogy, or come to terms with what he's done and walk away to isolation...in my mind, but he doesn't die. :)

Then the Saga would be over, as it's about the Skywalker family.

Anyway, I can imagine various things...

Firstly, I REALLY don't think that Kylo is fully aware of whom "Grandfather" actually was, and I'm imagining that his "vaulted image" of Vader could be shattered if he were to come to a full understanding that Vader...in what he did, and became...was wrong, and that he actually was a great Jedi that lost his way...and Ben unfortunately followed directly in his footsteps.

THAT being said, I'm imagining Kylo either getting a visit from Anakin to tell him personally that he's wrong, and why, or at least getting the information (via discovered Holo-recordings, texts, or whatever) that Anakin fell into darkness and only realized it when it was too late to save himself, and it will devastate Kylo because of the things he's done...but I don't believe he'll die.

I also believe that Hux is going to plot to either overthrow or kill (or both) Kylo via a coup, and Kylo will survive it kill him...zero doubt in my mind.

I'm also imagining (maybe more just wishful thinking) that Kylo, in his pursuit of her, will meet Rey in the former Jedi temple on Coruscant where he realizes his failings, and to me, that would be poetic....the place where Anakin fell vs the place where Kylo realizes his mistakes.

Either way, we need to see a more main character-centric story to conclude the trilogy, and LESS about the FO vs the Resistance.

I hope for a story about "new" (and old hope with Rey leading the "Spark" that burns the FO down.
I hope for story about the reunion of the Rebellion (and for the reunion of fandom).
We live in world that accelerates gaps in society. Loads of people seem to run in a strange direction. We talk about things that divide us instead of things that unite us. We are torn apart.

Hopefully we will see Ren finding peace; as a symbol for a GFFA that learns to have faith in its own future again.
A peaceful end between Rey and Ren would be the ultimate symbol for overcoming the extreme ends of the same coin.

That would be amazing. The places that Anakin fell, Coruscant or Mustafar, is the places that Ben returns......

    It rhymes.
