    After 4 viewings, I'm pretty confident in my placement of the film, on the positive side of the ROTJ/ANH divide.

    AOTC
    TPM

    To clarify, ESB, and TFA are great, ANH and TLJ are good, ROTJ and ROTS are alright, and AOTC and TPM are bad. R1 isn't ranked as a spin-off film, despite me very much enjoying it. I feel that ranking it would be unfair to other spin-off material.

    It's getting really hard to play this game :)

    The game becomes easier when you pair movies the way it should be naturally paired:

    Rogue One - A New Hope
    Empire - Return
    The Force Awakens - The Last Jedi
    The whole Prequel trilogy

    If I do that:

    1 - TFA - TLJ
    2 - RO - ANH
    3 - ESB - ROTJ
    4 - The Prequels

    If I take the movies individually but in the context I have seen all other Star Wars movies:

    1 - ESB
    2 - TLJ
    3 - TFA
    4 - ANH
    5 - ROTJ
    6 - RO
    7 - ROTS
    8 - AOTC
    9 - TPM

    If I just take each of these movies individually with no context from the others:

    1 - ANH
    2 - TFA
    3 - RO
    4 - TLJ
    5 - ESB
    6 - TPM
    7 - ROTJ
    8 - ROTS
    9 - AOTC

    Bottomline, it is difficult to rank TLJ yet since, it's the middle part of a trilogy.
