How Episode VIII should end in your ideas?

Very original, but is killing Luke and Leia in the same movie not a bit too much? XD

 

I see VIII separated in three parts, each one starring each member of the new trio (Rey, Finn, Poe):

1. Rey - personal/family drama, Kylo Ren the antagonist, Luke the deuteragonist/main support
2. Finn - war drama, Phasma the antagonist, new character(s) the deuteragonist/main support
3. Poe - political drama, Laura Dern's character the antagonist, Leia/new character the deuteragonist

(To add: I suspect that the rewrites happened for Poe's part: he was supposed to die in TFA, so he had to be added in the VIII script later.)

And all these three parts get intermixed in the end, where the proverbial sh*t hits the fan, the storylines/plot threads her intertwined and this is where VIII ends: the trio is back, things are bad, but the storyline has come to a head and in IX the counterattack towards the FO begins.

 

I think it would be cool to not only rip all hope from the heroes, but to rip everything away from Kylo Ren too, so he doesn't know where he stands and doesn't know where to go.

 

In a lot of ways I agree. It's figuring out what drama/ plot line is with Finn that I have a tough time figuring out.

If a story is about a heroine, the potential boyfriend being captured, brainwashed and turned against her is very old plotline. From Sailor Moon to Buffy to Hunger Games have all used it.

Leia will most likely live until 9. However, Luke probably will go.

The series has to move on........

Does every classic character need to die though? nope

 

i think more likely Luke will develop a real Jedi temple and drop to a more peripheral secondary role, lea's a gonna. need to fresh it up bit there bringing lots of new characters in but most I've seen have been coffin dodgers, out with the old in with the new! so yeh hope lea go's

Do you think this new series will do anything with the "underdog" primitive races coming out on top like they did in the others? Ewoks, Gungans etc etc....

(I don't list Wookies here because, their home looks primitive, but they were bad asses.)

 

I think current Lucasfilm will try to avoid that trope from old LucasFilm. Different political times and social climates between now and then for those type of allegories.

 

I agree. Though I wouldn't mind more inclusion of an alien race in a battle or conflict. Doesn't have to be primitive, but some sort of race would be cool.
