Yes it does, but you also have to recognize that if palpatine is to be believed then Plageius is the Creator of Anakin. So the Jedi skywalker line is only there because of him.

A theory I've had since the new trailer came is that because this specific force sensitive bloodline starts with Anakin conceived entirely by midichlorians that the living Force views him and his off spring as something unnatural. That despite the good intentions of his son and grand daughter (if rey is a solo or skywalker) they will never fully succeed and bring down evil in the galaxy. Again because Anakin was created - not for good - but for evil - by a sith lord after all. Maybe just maybe the outcome of this, is for someone strong with force, with knowledge of both the dark and the light side to deem the whole skywalker line imperfect or unnatural, and will hunt them down and destroy them just to bring back balance to the force. Thats why Reys identity is secret and thats why Luke is in hiding.

 

Plagueis did NOT create Anakin in the current canon or the EU.

 

really! i didn't know they got rid of that part of things! or was it just wiped clean and no one has addressed the issue yet?

 

He never did period. In the Legends continuity Anakin was created by the Force attempting to balance itself out after Plagueis and his master were dicking around with the Force.
Current canon, he's just a virgin birth.

 

yeah, i guess you're right, they never explicitly say that was how Anakin was fathered.

actually i'm not entirely sure thats true. in the film ep 3. Palpatine suggest that his master could create life directly from the force - just as anakin was. In fact if you read a book about the making of the film, i'll find the link to the page, you'll read that in the first draft of the script palpatine was Anakins father, but Lucas felt it was too close with Anakin being the father of Luke. So he removed it from palpatine and made it intentionally vague by letting it be palpatines master who manipulated the force and created Anakin. I mean if this comes directly from the creator of Star Wars i guess we can assumes this was the real intention all along.

if there is something official that says otherwise and thereby making that scene in the film pointless i would like to know.

Speculation . Gabriel gray on twitter has posted several rumors about alot of things concerning star wars. He's been right so far. So it's clear he is in the know somehow. He has again and again posted a youtube of that particular scene and said that this was important for the overall saga and it was kinda homework for SW fans before TFA....

 

Kylo I hope has no history with Vader, this sith needs his own path not defined but another's past encounter with him

 

EricHizzo's clues about his source are very specific. He went to Northwestern, majored in English, lives in LA, etc. Plus Disney obviously knows who it is they hired to write the battle of Jakku book. I think we just got somebody in serious trouble!

 

Yeah that has been discussed already.

I feel that will be one of the things they either never talk about or just write it off as the force creating him to eventually balance the force.

Maybe it was the Darth Plagueis thread lol but that same page was shared today. I remember reading it lol

 

I dunno.I trust that it will all make sense at some point under Disney's story group.They've been pretty good so far and I don't think it will be left up in the air.They've erased the old Canon,so I'm not entirely sure what counts and what doesn't.It's still possible that Plageius created him unintentionally by screwing around with the Force.I believe that was the canon before.
