    Ah I see what you're saying. that's one of the reasons I'm glad the story group is pulling things back to the original ideas before Lucas started being contradictory...
    The original idea being anyone has Force potential. Anyone can train to become a Jedi, some just have more of a "natural affinity" for it then others like art, or music, etc.

    thats why Ben says in RotJ why any offspring of Anakin's would be a threat to the emperor

    Not to be blunt, but if any of this emperors/snoke alchemy or hand cloning is what there doing, then for me they rekt Star Wars.

    Unless Palpatine cloned her and froze her on Jakku. I'm not sure why someone would go through the trouble of cloning Luke and then change the sex of the clone.

    Rey Solo: "I'm Han's daughter? Let's see in TFA..."
    Rey Skywalker: "Luke is my father? Chill out, you’ll see!"
    Rey Erso: "I don’t know [if Rey is Jyn's daughter]. That’ll be interesting when I see Rogue One"

    but she never talked about Chewbacca being her father because she can't talk about Rey's true father yet

    Just watching Empire, and I'm reminded how the great reveal is just the biggest kick in Luke's guts:
    The father he so dreamed of and aspired to be like, is in fact the biggest monster in the galaxy.
    It's a moment that takes Luke's dream and rips it apart.
    This is what has to happen to Rey. And what is Rey's dream - to find her family (Luke knew his father was dead so finding him wasn't his quest).
    And so the greatest kick in the guts for Rey would be to discover that her family are dead. But not only that, but the people who she thought could be a surrogate family to her, deceived her - the great reveal:

    Kylo Ren: Luke murdered your family!

    And if it turns out that Rey's origins are related to the Dark Side and that she was in fact born to wipe out Luke Skywalker, well hell - then we have some serious conflict going on! This time, the redemption for Kylo Ren won't be about saving the hero from certain death, but using his own experience as a Dark Side Jihadi to stop Rey from turning to the Dark Side.
