SPECULATION Is Luke Rey's Father? - The Evidence For and Against

Yes exactly!

 

This could be just my wishful thinking, but I tend to believe Kylo has some simpathy towards Rey( I would not say crush on first sight, though even this can be debated, his good side had it...nope?,I don't know but, who knows).. And Rey, despite despising his monstrosity(after killing Han for sure), has something towards Kylo. She is compassionate.She feels he has been tormented I think.Every woman knows that felling of believing "him" can be better that he is, or made better than he is (however futile and delusional this thought be).
Fact is, Rey spared him.

 

He indeed does. He feels compassion for Rey. Something Jedi consider "unconditional love" meaning his heart is still good.

I wish I could tell , but ,after seeing leaks in this Cantina I will talk to sisterhood about moving all valuable and fragile relics into safety in case Luke, Rey, Kylo and his knights visit us in the same time .

 

For the record, the parentage debate has been settled in my mind for well over a year. I long ago switched my efforts to figuring out the how. Getting the who right is small potatos next to that.

I'm tied to the mast of SS ReyWalker one might say.

 

I'm a bit late, but just going off the bit about the Force awakening and whatever, here are my thoughts...

Regardless of how Rey was born, I believe that her conception was the result of Ben choosing the Dark Side of the Force. Ben becoming evil would have prompted a need for balance, and Rey was/is that balance. I don't believe the Force actually "awakened" until she tapped into her Force abilities in The Force Awakens, hence Snoke's line, "There has been an awakening—have you felt it?"

Kylo Ren responds with, "Yes," which makes me wonder... If Snoke and Kylo Ren could feel it, could Luke and/or Leia feel it, too?

 

Does that work with the timeline? She is 10 years younger than him. First he turned at 15, now they say it's 24.

 

Do we know how old he was when he was sent to train with Luke? We know Snoke had been watching Ben from the beginning, which Leia was aware of (and one of the reasons why she sent him to train with Luke). Perhaps he was 10 when the darkness inside of him was awakened and when he started to have conflicting emotions and resentment towards his parents?

Edit: And to answer your question, I believe he was 23 in Bloodline and at that point, he hadn't turned to the Dark Side yet, so 24 is probably a more reasonable assumption.

 

I'm trying to remember. By changing his age it made things confusing and also keeps Rey's situation separate from his, meaning she was never at the academy. We know in TFA he is 29 and Rey is 19.

 

When did they say he turned at 15? Was that just the assumed age before Bloodline was released?

I know he's 29 in The Force Awakens and Rey is 19, but I wasn't sure if they had an age for when he began training with Luke. I checked Wookieepedia and it sounds like it's pretty vague based on the information we've been given. They just say his training had started by the time he was 23 (because that's the first we hear of it, in Bloodline), but it had most likely begun long before then.

 

I think people did the math based on TFA and their ages in it.
