    During and after TFA’s movie run, most of the fandom thought that Ben Solo turned into Kylo Ren as a teenager, ending with either him or Luke abandoning Rey on Jakku. While we know that Ben’s turn to the Dark Side happened later than anticipated, what if we weren’t completely wrong? What if Ben and/or Luke did leave Rey on Jakku? Pablo Hidalgo in a tweet did mention that we don’t know what turned Ben bad, but he had tumultuous teenage years nonetheless. As mentioned in theories before, the timelines add up; so instead of dropping Rey off on Jakku being the last good act Kylo did for years, what if it was his Start of Darkness?

    I'm not trying to be pessimistic with this, but I do honestly wonder whether the double bladed lightsaber is too "prequelish" for things currently. I do feel like maybe her staff will become a lightsaber, though.

    I'd say that, on the whole, Disney actually doesn't seem to be that anti-prequels. Rebels references them all the time, and small things pop up all the time in the EU stuff.... whether or not that translates over to what they're willing to do with the films I'm not quite as sure, but I think it's still a definite possibility.

    I'd have to say that being sent away was the beginning of his downfall. Just like Anakin who had attatchments. Plus being disappointed by Han whatever that consisted of or means. So Snoke took Ben who was unstsble and vunerable and twisted his mind.

    I'd like to know who told him Vader/Anakin was his grandfather and if it was before or after he was sent to Luke.

    And strangley he seemed to not have alot of training even with Luke just a great potential and a gift.

    At the time of Bloodline, it appears that Ben does not know about his relationship to Vader. When it goes public that Vader is Leia's father it becomes huge galactic news. If he finds out from Holo news feeds while out exploring with Luke, it could be the breaking point for his turn to the dark. He could view not being told as being lied to. He sees it as his Mom lied to him, his dad (who he is already disappointed in) lied to him, and his uncle has lied to him.

    That's the way I see it has having unfolded based after reading Bloodline.

    I was watching the movie Rango tonight and felt it could be very reminiscent of what Rey's journey could be throughout the new trilogy.

    One thought I had which I don't think has been seen in any of the movies or TV shows is that the hero fails as the hero. For example, as the hero Rey feels it is her job to make things right, stop the evil but as some point fails miserably. So perhaps VIII sees Rey fail and IX is about her setting things right.
