There's another set dedicated to the pirate ship, so I doubt they're one and the same.

Do we know what the pirate ship set is called? Maybe I just missed it.

It's just called "Pirate Frigate" or something.

Nope, but it's doubtful. All that lush greenery and beautiful scenery do not lend itself well to a desolate waste; that would be in very poor taste!

(If anything, I think it's Omereth, the planet from the end of Heir To The Jedi. It's similar in description. That's presuming it's an existing planet at all, and not something they made for the movie.)

After watching the trailer I'm still confused about how many planets are in the movie. Is the forest ice planet all of Starkiller base? What planet is the lake castle fight on? What planet are Kylo and the Ren on in the rain? What planet is Leia and Han hugging on? It's hard to understand locations in this movie compared to how previous Star Wars movies differentiated each location. If there are a lot of planets, are the main cast hyperspacing all around from planet to planet? Seems like a lot of traveling for one movie.

Exactly. Wasn't Chandrila very important for the New Republic in Aftermath? So I understand they don't want to fill up the galaxy with evey planet from the books and rebels and the clone wars, but it is strange for me that they did not include Chandrila.

& if Hosnina is the capital of the New Republic where is Luke hiding

I thought that too, but one would think that they would keep it in the map (at least until it is destroyed?)..

On the other hand, the star map can also be found in DK’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, that is out on December 18... so maybe the map should have only came out after it was destroyed...

Very interesting star map from the upcoming TFA Visual Dictionary by Pablo Hidalgo and really, believe me, I'm not trying to find fault but the lack of consideration for millions of victims of the Galactic Empire is somewhat disturbing:

Where would Alderaan have been on that map?!?! Not even a graveyard marker?

Where is Kessel, where is Bestine, what happened to the Anoat system?

And is Dagobah really "not that far" from Hoth as suggested by Luke in the deleted scenes from ESB on the Blu-ray Disc?

Seriously, with all this talk how much new Lucasfilm supposedly considers and cherishes the OT I find the lack of OT planets / locations rather irritating.

P.S. Also noticed that Kuat is not a company on Corellia. As a reminder: The "big Corellian ships" Solo was referring to in the Cantina were the Imperial Star Destroyers / Cruisers according to the Star Wars modelmakers in Cinefantastique.

I agree with you on the first two points. And not that far is relative. You know. A one hour drive for me is long (because i am Dutch) but for Americans driving an hour is not as far away for them. ANd to be honest Dagobah is not that far away from Hoth as is Dantooine of Moraband

That's why I addressed the point as a question.

On the other hand it's hard to ignore that Hoth and Bespin are supossedly in such close proximity. While George Lucas himself visually suggested in AotC (the refugee ship) that you can travel FTL in the Star Wars Galaxy without having made the jump into hyperspace this suggestion has apparently not (yet) found its way to the Lucasfilm Story Group.

(The Falcon needed to jump into hyperspace to vanish from the Imperial Radar Screens but couldn't because the hyperdrive motivator - enabling the jump into hyperspace - was damaged. Instead it apparently crossed vast interstellar distances with some kind of "lower hyperdrive gear shift" - probably same as Luke on his way to Dagobah - which nevertheless couldn't shake the Imperial pursuers)

Yet Padme's ship in TPM HAD to land on Anakin Skywalker's planet of Tatooine which happened to be like a next door neighbor of Naboo, practically .

Jakku seems to be a planet that was entirely inhabited by the crashed Star Destroyer
