What weapon will Finn wield?

  1. Lightsaber - weapon of a jedi (comment with color)

  2. Electrostaff - can block lightsabers

  3. Z6- Riot Baton - can block lightsabers

  4. Cortosis Bladed Weapons - Shuts off lightsabers

  5. Protosaber - Ancient version of a lightsaber

  6. Blaster - ranged weapon (comment what kind)

    That is the only reason i could think of for them to have luke get gifted a purple saber that belonged to a rodian jedi after it was made very clear how rare mace windu's was.

    I'd like to see him have a new weapon of his own. Just like Han Solo's DL-44 or Chewie's crossbow. He needs a weapon that reflects his character.

    Yea makes no since unless that one is for rey. I would like to see him get orange like the Finn from the old EU or teal like nomi sunriders
    If not a saber with cool color something unique maybe a modified DH-17 with grenade launcher

    Rey is a Mary Sue, so you can't use her as a guide for much. I would say that Finn's character development is closer to that of Luke's and that it is still possible for him to become a Jedi. But at end of the day it is up to the makers of this movie to decide what they want to do with him.

    saw the mary sue comment and wondered how long before you corrected it lol. If they go with the original plan his coma is so he can be "reborn a hero". whatever that means , its what they were aiming for with the character. I think people need to separate rey and finn. they are on two different paths that lead to the same place. Just cause one has an epic moment doesn't mean the other cant as well
    he will never be a robe wearing "jedi" , he just broke free of following someones rules i don't see him jumping into someone elses

    Finn is NOT FS. He is a stormtrooper trained in CQB what includes staves and batons. To belive that he is FS just because he can turn on a lightsaber is stupid.

    I believe he is cause of the list of things that point to it not just the lightsaber. It is actually stupid and short sighted to think he isn't just cause rey is...

    He'd probably still Hve that too but he needs a "special" weapon of some kind to differentiate himself as one of the main leads .

    Lightsaber. Finn is FS, he just doesn't know it yet and there was no Obi-Wan to let him in on the secret. I'd like to see him wielding green or blue. I can appreciate the more extreme colors, but I'd prefer the traditional.

    i say finn wields an iconic blaster. do i want finn to be force-sensitive? yes. do i want him to have a lightsaber and become a jedi/sith? yes. but story-wise, i'm not sure how they would incorporate that.. regardless, finn is a badass. i can't wait to see what him and poe are upto in episode VIII
