Well, the 50 Shades crowd needs something to watch, now that their series is done...

 

possibly! though i would say the creepy dom/sub Kylux runs neck and neck with Kylux fluff, so it's really a mixed crowd.

a quick peek over at AO3 just now shows Kylux still ahead, but Reylo is closing in.
for perspective, there are over 11,000 (that's right, thousand) Kylux fanficts, compared to about 9,000 Reylo ones.

one of the most popular fictions on that site (of any fandom) is a Kylux work of over 600,000 words called Children, Wake Up, with over 9,000 comments.*
by comparison, the most popular Reylo fict (i believe) is Thwarted, at nearly 360,000 words with 6,600+ comments.

i understand that on other fanfict sites Reylo reigns, but as far as i know, AO3 is the largest fanfict community on the internet right now.

* for further context, if you put all those comments in a thread on the Cantina, the thread would be between 450-500 pages long (this thread is currently 57 pages long--though it did start running in December of 2015 immediately after TFA came out, whereas this thread started in November of 2016).​

 

In the audio book of TLJ "Across the Stars" is played during Kylos "turn". Interesting stuff I would say.

 

Just,Kylo made to much atrocities so far.

Its moral "overstrech" to redeem Kylo.
Romance is nice,but...how about large view?

I will probably farm nice ratings for this:would it be moral and happy end to redeem Hitler in the film?

How about happy ending with redemption of calculated ambitious,patricidal mass murderer who became new galactic dictator of the de-facto Nazi regime..Supreme Leader Kylo?

Now when we have practical confirmation of ReyLo its time to foresee long term conequences of this shortsighted populistic decision.

ReyLo will bring war and backlash over its ethics.

 

It's a fantasy story and it has (and should have) nothing in common with the real world! Star Wars is simply the story about family, friends, forgiveness and redemption. You can't deny this.

It's ridiciouls how serious these kind of discussions are getting. In the end I don't care whether Reylo happens or not. And I also don't care whether Kylo Ren gets redeemed or not, as long as the story is good.

 

Again,however you turn Kylo redemption its moraly overstretched.
Ok its fantasy world.
What has Kylo done in fantasy world?
... killed one of the greatest and most beloved fantasy characters of all time,a postive hero ,his own father.(Han Solo for those with short memory).
He hardly regreted,and didn't regreted or at least try an excuse even after killing Snoke.

ReyLo they are preparing,but it will not meet result which they expect.

In fact Othello is more a Luke type.

Daresay I'm more a scholar on the Histories of Shakespeare, rather than the Tragedies. I would take Henry IV Part I and II and Richard III any day before Romeo and Juliet. And some of the Comedies. So... no.

Old fictional stories allways had clear moral axis.

Imagine Lord of The Rings and suddenly Gandalf dies in the middle of the trilogy(for never to return) and Saruman became redeemed after killing half of the Middle Earth.

Some standards exist in fiction, most notably in fiction.

In our world there is,indeed, a thin line between moral and immoral, good and evil.
Thus it was allways the ingerence of fiction to set those distinctions clearly, clear boundaries.
Fight against good and evil. Consequences for evil acts.
Not anymore I see.

I just wanted to express publically my deep sorrow, since obviously ReyLo it will be, no doubt, critical mass of suporters is to big for J.J Abrams who is oportunist to piss off such crowd (just look ReyLo terror alredy in full swing on forums and reddit)

It is my personal tragedy as an old Star Wars fan to live to see this happening.

Is too big for JJ? He is the inventor of Reylo. So, of course he would go for it and not just to not "piss off" the crowd. LF has a rough outline for this trilogy and they will stick to it without listening to the fans. This is how the movie buisness works.

I know you dislike Reylo. I myself don't need it to play out, because I got annoyed by all the Reylo folks. But you make too much of deal about it.

I understand, you wanted to demonstrante that some intellectualy capable people with classical education also support ReyLo.

It appears you proved your intellectual credit,which,together with other intelligent people in here who joined to add another one,pushes in my eyes this ReyLo pandemonium into a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions.
