Yep cuz those are only options right? its not like Rey can be a just a new person who is badass? or Kylo DEFINITELY isn't a homicidal maniac who killed his father and who Rey tried to help but was like "nah I'm supreme leader".

None of this refutes that she literally and symbolically shuts the door on Kylo Ren.

You know, which happens right after your last shot.
He done messed up and she's moving on to sexier suaver men who know killing the only two father figures a girl has is not the best way to bed her.

In anycase I disagree with it. Who and what they are to everyone else doesn't matter at all. The only thing that matter FN is who they are to eachother.

Aren't scavenger looking for precious stuff and not garbage? Yes, the find and sell a lot of garbage, but the want to find something which finally ends this scavenging. So, your comparison isn't really well thought out.

there's a part of the Reylo community that likes to whitewash. i like to make sure we keep it real.
Ben has problems (because lots of people do).
it's okay that he's not okay. it's okay that he's confused, conflicted, and an all-around mess.
the point of salvage in any trash heap is to preserve what's good. : D

you know i'm neither here nor there on Rey and Ben being together.
so no, my point is exactly right. as a scavenger she's looking to restore something that someone else threw away as garbage.
what she does with it afterwards is kinda irrelevant. ; D

 

Why would she kill him there? It's not in her character at this stage. She's felt that rage before and she saw what it can do when you let it consume you (Luke, Ben). Luke's real final lesson was about his failure and how she can grow beyond that. The same way Luke grew beyond Yoda and Obi-Wan's failure.
Luke never killed Ben when he had the chance but it crossed his mind. Who's to say it didn't cross hers too but she remembered what happened to Luke...for actually entertaining it.

And for the record, Oscar Isaac is taller.

I'd rather have Rey be with no one than Poe, honestly.

I don't really love that character, if I'm being honest.

 

My family and I occasionally slammed doors on each other as I was growing up. She shut the door on Ben's path, on Kylo Ren, not on Ben Solo the good boy with too much of his father's heart that's underneath it all.
