Congrats on GM status. I'm jealous. Last time I really played was seasons 5/6, and was diamond. Just picked the game back up this season.

The lies I was referring to, were people saying the game was P2W right after launch, and some crap about it taking hundreds of hours to unlock all the heroes. I had the game, and there was no option to pay for anything (I played the game right at launch), and I had all the heroes in a couple days.

But thousands of people, who probably didn't own it, were rating it a 0/10 while spewing crap about P2W and hundreds of hours to get the heroes.

There were even grown adults standing in stores on black Friday telling parents to not buy it for their kids because it took extra money to unlock their kids' favorite characters. And then these people bragged about it on sites like Reddit.

Bottom line, hateful people do like to abuse rating systems.

It is just a vocal minority who still cares to speak about their former favorite franchise. Everyone should be more worried about the silent majority who disliked the movied and just move on silently with their whole family to another movie, franchise or next Harry Potter like series.

You had no option to pay for anything because EA took it out because those of us who had the early access of the game a week earlier tore EA a new one for their terrible system. Also the heroes were almost 4x more expensive than they were the day of launch so those astronomically high amounts of time to unlock all the heroes was totally true. It took me two days of heavy grinding to get the amount required to buy Vader. Thankfully they changed all of this but it should not have been there in the first place.

How many people play Battlefront 2? I was going to get it for my son, but I wasn't impressed by the gameplay.

I play it but it takes forever to load, multiplayer is fun for a bit but then gets repetitive and then there is the same old problem of fighting people that play the game 24/7 and practice their saber techniques far more than they do their wit...

Yes. We all knew those things were there at that time. However, after general launch, when everyone had been directly told that those aspects had been fixed, the Internet mobs still pounded the rating systems and stores with now false claims, and anyone who tried to talk about the actual state of the game was shut down with hate/downvotes/etc.

The mob/bandwagon mentality had become so strong, that these people were willing to stand on a platform of lies and blind hatred to go after EA, rather than something substantial.

It was most saddening when people were doing in stores what I mentioned above (while lying to the parents), or being very hateful towards people who would post/say things like "I dont understand....I just bought the game and it doesn't have any of those problems...I think it's fun."

I know we're just talking about hate for media pieces here, but people have showed their true colors regardless, and some of it is honestly saddening, and scary.

The biggest problem with this film (and idk if this was mentioned before) is that there was ZERO connecting, overarching, story that explains any of the events/movies prior. Rian Johnsons entire philosophy behind the film was WRONG. He said in an interview he felt like the return of the jedi was the end of that trilogy and revenge the end of the prequels.... WE WANT ANSWERS.... Why were those events even put into motion? HOW, HOW, HOW, and WHY was Anakin Skywalker just spawned from no where? To connect the new trilogy to the old seemed like something.... I don't know.... obvious. It would and could even make us all love and care about Rey and this journey even more. All they did was create a new trilogy where new characters merely encounter the old ones. I don't see how having Luke participate in the new trilogy hurts our new characters?

WHY WOULDN'T you have had Luke tell Rey on the island that the reason the jedi need to end is because THEY WERE WRONG. Do you know who that lightsaber belonged to? My father.... Anakin Skywalker. Who was turned to the dark side by the evil emperor because he LOVED my mother. He wanted to save her. The jedi tried to have him ignore those emotions and the dark side exploited them. (you do this instead of her somehow knowing every intimate detail at the end of return of the jedi... the galaxy could have known Luke ended Darth vader but how they found out the tiniest of details... I do not know.. galactic newspaper? This is also a great way to explain past events to new fans) You have him say the jedi should never have forced my father to turn his back on these feelings it destroyed him. Rey and Luke decide they need to CHANGE the jedi and have them embrace love and change them moving forward. Having Luke fight alongside Rey doesn't hinder her being the new main character of this trilogy and that ideology is ridiculous.

Side note...... I cannot understand... I never will. How someone is handed the ultimate keys to the kingdom to make a Star Wars movie.... WITH LUKE SKYWALKER and not want to play around and have him kick some serious a$$. It's like passing on sleeping with Gisele (*or Tom Brady if that's what you're about), whose laying in bed calling your name, because that what everyone "expects you to do".....

I can't wait for a new Harry Potter movie in 20 years... Voldemort is BACK!! Harry we NEED YOU! "nah guys i'm going to pass and hangout with a hippogrif" only to send a patronus from miles away at the very last moments of the movie and save the day.

It's hysterical to me that JJ and co. literally had to TAKE LUKE OUT of the force awakens because he just took everything over and was so cool to play with they wanted to develop the others..... and Rian just throws it out the window. The movie was like a bad prank. He did the bare minimum. He did what he wanted to serve one stupid story and gave no thought to the overall mythology of star wars.... why it started... where it was going... where are the sith..... WHY is this all happening? Lazy. Let me facetime Maz and see if she has the secret answers to make episode 9 better.......

PSA- I apologize for any errors and incomplete sentences..... literally made an account and am typing this at a staff meeting because I was just overcome with sadness when i though of the wasted opportunity that was........ the last jedi.

The point is that it's another one in a long list of mistakes. Which illustrates RJ's approach.

This sequel comes way too late (20 years or so) to see superhero Luke. I think this is the biggest reason some fans are disappointed. This isn't Luke's story. He's the A New Hope Obi-Wan in this story. He got a better send off than Kenobi though.

I disagree that Luke had a better send off than Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan did watch over Luke for 20 years, gave him the first lessons of the force and saved him and his friends at the death star + guides him to blow up the death star. What did Luke instead? He did try to kill his nephew in his sleep, then ran away after his academy was destroyed, hided on a remote planet to die, rejected his only new student after many years and finally died exhausted after doing a trick to save a handful of soldiers. :(

not really, there were several ways to lessen the impact, like Luke having written the books that Rey found, some of Luke's good students having survived and appearing again to help etc. Such a nihilistic approach towards Luke was not necessary.

"Failure is the best teacher" is a silly cliché. Too many failures (and in some walks of life, ONCE is "too many") and you won't have a chance to fail again.

If failure is such a great teacher, I guess Admiral Ozzel is the wisest character in the SWG.
