I’m not a nazi.... in fact, it’s not that I sympathize with Kylo Ren.
I can understand the seek of personal revenge. But not joining a space neo-nazi organization.
In fact I think that obey orders in blind trust it’s not a value.
I’m a rebel. Not a nazi. And I’m trying to be ironic.

@Maximus You know I generally agree and I’m starting to get bored.
But, I just don’t know what else to speak about.
Solo box office? Because it’s not that I’ve found something “that” interesting
in that movie. It’s fun. Period and I don’t think we will 3ver see a sequel... so, hum.
    What else?
We’ve spent so much time here debating one theory or take or the other.
Now it’s seems pointless. At least to me. Because my only take is that there was not plan.
So it’s not even that worthed to discuss comics and novels.
I just think we have to get them for what they are. A fun read.
But sure my hype has collapsed, because of that.
I don’t see the point, in this very moment.
    So I don’t know.
Maybe things will change a bit once Ep. IX will start filming or in fall
with the new tv serie. But it looks like a century now.

To be honest, I have seen some really despicable, almost Nazi-like stuff posted here before.

The mods do a great job of removing those posts and banning the users.

So I think it's safe to say that despite our disagreements on Star Wars, no one currently posting here needs to feel attacked by the fact that yes, some of KMT's harassers have a severely broken moral compass, because I'd at least like to believe that we have no reason to feel that any of those harassers are anyone currently still posting on this site.

That being said, if you are one of those people who harassed KMT, RJ, etc... I honestly just pity you. Our Star Wars family is going to be fine, but I'm definitely worried about the guys sitting on their computers all day just to bring others down. That's a clear sign of psychopathy.

Sad thing is these people unfortunately existe.
    It’s not excuse. Of course.
But I’d say that is why, to me, SW beauty is/was to be this wonderful
    tale about good vs evil.
Not because I don’t like or value complexity.
But because pop colture need that too.
That was/is is uniqueness and it was/is the best at it.

Precisely. You have every right to dislike TLJ as much as you want to, just don't share your discontent with them on social media. They are people that you do not know and saying "You suck!" to a complete stranger is in very poor taste. But what about feedback?, you may ask. They will know where to get it and YouTube is usually not the place to look for it. Just follow this guy's line of thinking and everyone will be happy:

PS. Please never write things like "I dislike X but I agree abusing creators of X is not fine." Just don't, especially when responding to the creators of X on social media. Your dislike of this thing has absolutely nothing to do with abuse.

    What?

Are you saying on Social Media no one is even allowed/should not be allowed to say "Your creation sucks!"
Then answer: Why should it be allowed to say "Your creation rocks!"

If I don't like something, I should be allowed to speak my displeasure. If I like something, I should be allowed to express so as well.
No one should be stressed out about "But what if it hurts someone's feelings?" all the time! I mean all the time.

I think it's just more of a common courtesy thing, than anything.

Content creators, regardless of size, are people too.

It's one thing to offer constructive criticism. That's invaluable, in fact.

But just rudely butting in to tell someone how much you despised what they created doesn't really do anyone any good- if they see it, it'll have a negative impact on them, it's a waste of your time, and it kinda makes the poster look like a jerk.

Imagine saying this to a small Youtuber, or someone with like fifteen twitter followers who is just trying to sell some art on Etsy, if you have trouble putting a face on something as big as Star Wars.

    It's just poor form, really.

How are we supposed to offer constructive criticism if all the creators want is "your creation is perfect!"
If someone were to say, "I wish Rose Tico wasn't a stereotypical Asian = A SW character who made Asians look bad", am I attacking Tran, the actor?
It's fact. Asians were made to look bad via Rose Tico.
I could never like Rose Tico because honestly what the heck is stopping Finn from Ramming the canon and saving everyone? And her excuse was something about getting rid of your enemies through love? Rose Tico will be improved very much if you got rid of that line. Have Finn's bike break at the last moment if you want to keep the attempt at Canon ramming.<== Okay, constructive criticism right there. Oh wait, I just hurt some writer's feelings. The one who put in the line.

edit: nowadays constructive criticism is something creators say they want, but really they don't. Perhaps they don't even know what it is.

There's a difference between criticising something or indicating your dislike for something without relying upon crass and rude vernacular and victimising a person based upon their gender, race, sexual orientation or religion.

What happened to KMT went far beyond people saying they didn't like the character of Rose.

And I'm quite sure some people who are ( rightfully ) offended by what happens to KMT were hating on Jake Lloyd as we spoke yesterday on the TPM thread ...

Why would I be shocked ? I know humans, I'm a grown man.

I'm having a chuckle that Tran's initials are literally KMT.
    I guess it's a Chinese inside joke.

    Rose Tico
Asians are weak <============ first scene cries her eyes out. Leia had her planet destroyed, you see her crying her eyes out?
Asians are hypocrites <========= herself a former slave, frees animals, keeps kids enslaved.
Asians are stupid/Asians will cause your rebellion to fail<============ because of obsession with the power of love.
Asians will steal your girl/boy friends <=============== Steals Finn from Rey.

Tran didn't ruin Rose Tico, writer(s) ruined Rose Tico.

I don't think that the character of Rose was purposed to represent the Asian population. I don't think anybody engaging their intellect would come to any of the conclusions you have arrived at.

EDIT: Have I just been had and been taken in and responded to a troll?

Here’s an interesting fact: in reading this, I tilted my head to one side - like the way a dog does when it hears a noise it doesn’t recognize - so much so I hurt my neck a bit . . . . . . fact.

I guess I have to explain it further:
You writing in a standard post on Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr/reddit/etc. "I dislike The Last Jedi" is completely fine.
You writing "The Last Jedi is bad" in comment under a post by Rian Johnson is wrong.
You telling Rian Johnson "I dislike The Last Jedi" after getting to know him is fine.

There is this thing called manners that many people on the Internet seemed to forget about and telling a person directly that we hate their creation is in poor taste, especially if it is known that the person spent a lot of effort creating it. If you eat a dinner at a stranger's house (or at a person's house who you barely know) and you dislike the dish they served, do you:
    • eat the dish anyway and decide to not eat anything else prepared by that person for the rest of the meeting or
    • throw the plate, stand up and tell in front of everyone "your dish SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!"?
I think (I hope!) it's the former, unless you live amongst people who can take criticism easily but then again, you know them well enough to know that they have thick skin. Let me surprise you - yes, while talking to someone else you should consider their feelings. That's kind of the basics of human-human interactions. There are exceptions... but "Don't be a jerk!" is a great rule of thumb and if people would actually follow it maybe social media wouldn't be such a toxic wasteland that they are today.

I agree with you as usual. I'm getting bored too. I enjoyed Solo for the most part, but I'm honestly glad that there's going to be a year and a half break between that and the next SW movie. I feel no excitement for Ep. IX at all right now. TLJ disappointed me so much that I'm honestly scared to death of what will happen in Ep. IX. Luckily, there seems to be a lot of people who see these movies before they are released around here who go online and spoil everything so I will have the privilege of knowing what happens before I buy a ticket. If IX goes as bad as I think it could then I will throw the towel in on the ST. Then I'll cuddle up with my copies of Ep. I-VI, plus Rogue One and mourn.;) Okay, I probably won't go that far!:D
