I don't believe it. This year fans have more reasons to buy than ever since this is the first SW movie in 4K format. It means more discs to choose from (Blu-Ray, 4K, DVD) and more reasons to buy since it's probably fantastic for those with good home theaters. Discs are for fans, collectors and people who like good quality. Something's way off here.

 

Unless I'm mistaken, I never said Kelly Marie Tran. I said Rose Tico. I think all of the actors delivered fine performances in TLJ. My issue is with the writing. RT isn't well written. That's what I said and that has nothing to do with the alleged abuse she received on instagram (which, if it is true, is ridiculous). I say "if" because I've not seen what was said, and I'll hold judgement until that comes out.

Look, the DVD sales dropped by what 60%? Solo flopped big time, and it's not due to "fatigue." Toy sales for TLJ flopped. Obviously RJ made a film that 50% of the fans despised, something which he apparently said was his goal. Congratulations RJ. You achieved your goal. Of course the ironic thing is it seems he doesn't like the heat he is taking for having achieved that goal.

 

It's not just Star Wars toys, it's the entire industry. If by DVD you mean Blu-Ray? Do they even make DVD copies anymore?

 

Bingo. All major toy manufacturers are slumping. You know what's doing well? Funko and these other small toy companies who are selling these ridiculous toys like these Shopkins and Hatchimals (Moose Toys and Spin Master). They are cheap and easy to produce and usually come with online content.

 

Yes, they still make DVDs. I buy them all the time because they are few dollars cheaper.

 

Me too. IMO old movies and TV series are better for DVD.

 

8-10 USD here in Prague. Full shelves everywhere. TLJ dvd. No one´s buying it...

 

The laughable defense squad for this train wreck of a movie.

'Oh, nobody cares about toys and merchandise anymore so what if sales are down.'

'Oh, nobody cares about home video anymore so what if sales are down.'

'Oh, nobody cares about movie theaters anymore who cares if ticket sales are down.'

While I still buy physical Blu-Ray copies, you're not taking into account digital sales.

 

Digital smigital! In music CDs, cassettes & Vinyl are starting to out sell digital downloads.

 

At this point of denial, this is fascinating.

Basically in a nutshell the ST says Anakin really wasn't that important because there was a deformed old man at the edge of the Galaxy who acted all Sith but in name & some magic girl on a desert planet who can't remember her last/tribe name 4 some reason but is better than anything he did.

 

Somebody didn't like my post for so-called 'bashing' the movie and deleted it, I'm just letting you guys know for however long it lasts before censor person strikes again.

 

It was my post comparing they how they ruined the old characters to push these new pale, inferior versions of characters from the past and that nobody waited 32 years for that to happen.

This is the gawd darn hate thread.

 

It's all part of it whether you like to admit it or not. We're not talking about music here.
