    The weird thing is, if this was any other movie, it would be good, but as a Star Wars film, it just sucks IMO

    Funny thing is Colin Trevorrow said he was the one who was gonna resolve the parentage issue. That it would be revealed in IX. But the fact is that people asked all casts members, mostly Daisy and they answered by beating around the bush. They could've just said it
    isn't answered in TLJ, have to wait for IX

    Yeah.... I'm probably still being too nice. Some moments were just creepy and weird and nonsensical. Just were they thinking omg.....
    On a side note: nobody cheered or clapped in the theatre, people sat destroyed in their seats with sad faces.

    If there's one thing I'm thankful for. It's that Colin Trevorrow got kicked off epIX. Ever since Jurassic world and then that dumpster fire Book of Annoying Henry, I've hated him as a director.

    JJ can direct decent films even some good ones, but Trevorrow can somehow distill stupidity and bad character arcs into a unique art form previously unknown to man; the idiot blockbuster!

    I don't hate it exactly, but I hate how I got duped into the hype by the trailers and the all-round confidence in Rian Johnson. This was not a great Star Wars experience. Isolated scenes and sequences, sure..but it fell flat on so many levels I can barely comprehend it. I felt like I was being trolled 80% of the time.

    I want to cry. TFA, despite its flaws, was such a promising restart. TLJ shits over everything. Like my 11 year old said, "It was funny..but it wasn't Star Wars".

    Daisy said they'd reveal who Rey's parents were. But no statement on Snoke. But I think people expected hints at least so imma not change it.

    Honestly, leaving my first viewing of TFA 2 years ago, I wasn't yearning to know Rey's parentage or Snoke's backstory. I was just looking forward to the next chapter of the story. The Internet just seemed to run wild and build these talking points into things much bigger than what they needed to be. Too many fans projected, and are probably now being let down simply because of their own false expectations.

    If RJ steered his writing away from fan service of that kind, I actually applaud that. I'm excited at the thought of the unexpected.

    Will be able to judge better after I see the movie tomorrow.

    Lol Too many kids around here who read those false leaks earlier in the weak, and are now raging against the movie without even seeing it. If these temper tantrums get anymore out of hand I'm gonna be waiting on the mods to start bringing out the hammer.
