Rey's vision with the lightsaber ?

There is a lot of Rebel Alliance wreckage, too, from the Battle of Jakku that took place 29 years earlier. In the shot where the crashed Star Destroyer enters the frame from the right, you'll see a crashed X-Wing in the foreground.

 

Most of the veteran pilots had customized helmets. The helmet Leia is wearing appears to be the same one Luke is wearing in the original trilogy. Found a great image here:

 

Quick question about the vision- so Kylo was holding Luke's saber?!?

I guess this was already discussed but maybe someone would like to explain this to me ( again) ?

 

Why is the guy to the left of Kylo holding a snowboard and the guy right holding a snow pole? Did they just come from Hoth?

 

... I don't know The other Knights of Ren are rumored to be non force sensitive. So no lightsabers for these guys

 

I jokingly called it his "anime sword." But yes, I do think that it's some kind of weapon. Kylo seems to be the only one of them with a lightsaber, the others all have different kinds of weapons (one has a blaster, another one has a spear of some kind, etc).

Whether that means that Kylo is the only one of them who's actually FS, or simply that lightsabers are hard to come by these days, or something else entirely, IDK yet?

 

And don't forget the corridor in Rey's vision, where lights gradually starts up. I found that corridor so familiar. Can't remeber well but, it could be the Bespin corridor, where Luke and Vader fight, before broke that window?
One thing for sure, something happened in Bespin with the lightsaber

Must be another lightsaber, which he collected from someone else... His crosssaber is ignited and he does need both hands to wield his saber- because of that I don't think it is a blaster in his other hand, that would be unpractical.

 

what's interesting to me is that if it is a lightsaber, it's not the lightsaber.
someone else suggested it looks like Luke's second saber (the green one).
i can't see the picture well enough (and interestingly, this detail is totally cropped from the actual movie ~ except at the widest angle where you can't see any detail at all).

Interesting. I like the Idea that the vision shows us Ren disarming Luke.

 

I like to think that the lightsaber Kylo Ren is holding is Darth Vader's.

i tried mucking with the contrast and brightness on some high-res pics of the scene, but it still looks to me like if it is a lightsaber, it looks much more like Luke's green one than Anakin's blue one. but i admit my eyes aren't great.

 

You're right it does look much more like the green one

 

A poll would be fun... I definitely would not choose Kylo Ren's lightsaber. Although it has the coolest sound when ignited. But imagine all the sparks flying around, you could easily catch fire... that can't be good.

 

I think it's Luke's lightsabre, his ROTJ one, or Kylo's original sabre perhaps? I think it's the knob which gives it away. Though I could be wrong. ......but then wud wud wud!?!?!?!?! Luke is on the island without his lightsabre. Rey brings back his old one?
